Overview
What are the duties of a safety attendant? How do you respond to a fire or another hazardous situation?
Depending on the deployment, this course is planned as fire watch or safety attendant training. You learn to recognise hazards early, to check the defined protective measures, to maintain the required contact and, in an emergency, to trigger the alarm and rescue chain.
Permits for hot work and for work in confined spaces are covered, as is the safe use of firefighting equipment on incipient fires.
Who should attend
Employees who are to be deployed as a fire watch or safety attendant, in particular during shutdowns and hot work in industry.
Entry requirements
A minimum age of 18 applies to this offering. On the basis of the risk assessment, the employer must determine which additional qualifications and medical requirements are needed for the specific deployment.
Respiratory protection, PPE-against-falls-from-height or first-aid qualifications are additionally required when those duties are actually assigned. Occupational health care and, where applicable, fitness requirements follow the risk assessment, the ArbMedVV (the German Ordinance on Occupational Health Care) and the respective exposure.
Outcome and course scope
Outcome: a role-specific ADLER Academy training record as “fire watch” or “safety attendant”.
ADLER course format: according to the role, deployment conditions, hazards, prior knowledge and the exercises required; the scope is stated in the quotation.
