Overview
ADLER Academy offers SCC training and recognised SGU examinations to SCC-VAZ 2021 and SGU-Personal VAZ 2021. SGU (Sicherheit, Gesundheit, Umweltschutz) is the German-language counterpart to the safety, health and environment scope of SCC, and the VAZ documents are the German administration rules for the scheme. Document 016 governs the training and examination of operational employees without accredited personnel certification. The recognised personnel examinations are carried out for operational supervisors to document 017 and for operational employees to document 018.
Which document is required depends on the role, the record sought and prior qualifications. Operational employees can be trained and examined to document 016 or prepared for the recognised SGU examination to document 018. Operational supervisors with authority to give instructions sit the recognised examination to document 017. Examinations to documents 017 and 018 are conducted by a personnel certification body accredited for the SGU programme by DAkkS (the German national accreditation body).
For document 016, the standard training comprises 24 teaching hours. A one-day compact course requires demonstrably very good and documented prior SGU knowledge. For admission to the examination to documents 017 and 018, a completed vocational qualification or an equivalent or higher qualification is generally required. As an alternative, a three-day SGU course of at least 24 teaching hours can usually be recognised; the examining personnel certification body decides definitively.
SCC for operational employees – document 016
The training conveys practical basic SGU knowledge to SCC-VAZ 2021. It covers statutory rules, typical accident causes, workplace hazards and safety-conscious behaviour. In this way, the training contributes to safe work processes and the prevention of accidents.
The written examination follows document 016 and the current SGU examination question catalogue of the VAZ.
The examination comprises 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 60 minutes. At least 28 correct answers are required to pass.
After passing, you receive a training and examination record from ADLER Academy to SCC-VAZ 2021, document 016. The record is valid for five years. This is not an accredited personnel certification; for employees, that is governed by document 018.
SCC for operational employees – document 018
The compact course prepares you for the recognised SGU examination to document 018. It conveys basic knowledge of statutory occupational-safety requirements, workplace hazards, typical accident causes and safety-conscious behaviour.
The examination is conducted by a personnel certification body accredited for the SGU programme by DAkkS, in accordance with the requirements of document 018 and the current SGU examination question catalogue of the VAZ.
The examination comprises 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 60 minutes. At least 28 correct answers are required to pass.
After passing, you receive an SGU-Personal certificate to SGU-Personal VAZ 2021, document 018. The certificate is valid for five years.
SCC for operational-level supervisors – document 017
The compact course prepares operational supervisors for the recognised SGU examination to document 017. It conveys knowledge of occupational-safety organisation, risk assessment and safety-conscious leadership. Participants learn to build SGU requirements into work processes and to guide staff in carrying out their tasks safely.
The examination is conducted by a personnel certification body accredited for the SGU programme by DAkkS, in accordance with document 017 and the current SGU examination question catalogue of the VAZ.
The examination comprises 70 multiple-choice questions and lasts 105 minutes. At least 49 correct answers are required to pass.
After passing, you receive an SGU-Personal certificate to SGU-Personal VAZ 2021, document 017. The certificate is valid for five years.
