Walkdowns, inspections and audits
The subject of the review is defined in advance: work areas, activities, companies, processes or particular risks. Findings are classified against transparent criteria. Acute hazards follow the agreed reporting and escalation routes; other points are transferred into action management with owners, target dates and the required evidence.
Incident management
Incident management starts with making the situation safe and recording the information reliably. The investigation considers the immediate and underlying technical, organisational and human factors. The aim is learning and prevention, not premature blame. Legally privileged investigations, communication with the authorities and employment-law decisions are kept separate.
Action closing
A closure does not merely confirm that a document was uploaded. Depending on the action, it is checked whether the agreed implementation is traceable and whether an effectiveness check is required.

What is the difference between a site inspection and an audit?
A site inspection mainly looks at current conditions and activities on site. An audit examines a defined process or system against set criteria and evidence.
When is an action considered closed?
When the agreed implementation is documented in a traceable way and any required effectiveness check has been carried out. A mere change of status is not always sufficient.
