Site supervision and construction management

ADLER coordinates and monitors construction, installation and maintenance work as site supervision and construction management.

Overview

The service combines construction and installation coordination with schedule, quality and progress tracking. ADLER coordinates trades and project participants, supports execution, records the state of the site and prepares deviations and open decisions. The specific remit and authorities are set out on a project-specific basis.

Construction management and site supervision

Construction management focuses on the interplay of construction sequence, trades, schedule, quality and documentation. Site supervision concentrates more on the technical support and coordination of execution on site. Both services can be commissioned individually or in combination.

The term site supervision here first describes a contractually agreed technical service. Whether an additional building-regulations function, representation of the client or a particular sign-off authority can be taken on has to be examined and expressly agreed for the specific project.

Coordinating construction workflows in technical terms

When several trades work in parallel, schedules alone are not enough. Interfaces have to be clarified daily, states of execution assessed and deviations documented. ADLER takes on site supervision and construction management for this, within a remit defined in advance.

The service can support a single project or, as a Support Service, cover recurring construction, installation and maintenance measures.

Frequently asked questions

Is site supervision the same as construction management?

Not necessarily. Site supervision focuses on the technical support of execution on site. Construction management can additionally include overarching coordination, scheduling and reporting functions.

Does ADLER automatically take on the building-regulations site management?

No. Such a function depends on the project, the relevant regional law, qualification and expressly transferred tasks, and is examined separately.
